Shadow in the Everglades

In the heart of Florida’s remaining wilderness, a shadow moves through cypress swamps and sawgrass prairies. The Florida panther - Florida’s state animal - needs vast territories to survive, but highways and development have carved their world into dangerous fragments. With fewer than 200 left, every panther death from vehicle strikes is a tragedy that echoes through the entire population. This pin represents the challenge of coexistence: maintaining space for apex predators in one of America’s most rapidly developing states, where wildness and human progress collide daily.
